• Account Information: Data shared via your chosen sign-up method (Apple ID, Google or phone number), and other details provided during sign-up, e.g. name, country, age, photos, and preferences
  

• Chat & Interaction Data: Messages exchanged with other users and engagement details.

• Usage Data: Information on how you use Mida, including interactions and preferences, to improve user experience.

• Third-Party Services: Mida uses Firebase, Google Analytics, and AdMob. We do not collect or process user data for advertising purposes. Data collection is strictly limited to app functionality and analytics.

Your data is used solely for the purpose of providing and improving Mida’s services. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except as specified in this policy.

2. Data Protection & Security

We employ industry-standard security protocols to safeguard your data from unauthorized access, modification, or deletion. Some of our measures include:

• Secure data encryption

• Regular security audits.

• Restricted access to sensitive information.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

• Account Deletion: If you delete your account, all associated personal data will be permanently removed from our servers. However, some non-personal information may be retained for analytical or legal purposes.

• Message Retention: Messages exchanged with other users will be stored for 30 days after account deletion for security and moderation purposes.

• Data Access Requests: Users can request access to their stored data by contacting us at support@mida.gg.
  

Should you have lost access to your account, you can initiate a account and data deletion process by contacting us at support@mida.gg. This requires that we are able to confirm your identity.

4. Children's Privacy

Mida is not intended for children. Our services are restricted to individuals aged 18 and above. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal data, we will take immediate action to delete such information.

5. Moderation, Reporting, and Account Handling

To maintain a safe and respectful community, Mida allows users to report inappropriate behavior. If a report is submitted against you:

• Our moderation team may review relevant chat logs between you and the reporting user.

• Any reported images or profile content will remain accessible to moderators until the report has been resolved, even if the content is deleted or modified.

• Reports are handled fairly and impartially to ensure a balanced review process.

Mida reserves the right to suspend, ban, or delete accounts at any time, without prior notice and at our sole discretion, including without stated reason.

We will take these actions unconditionally if we suspect any violation of our guidelines, including but not limited to:

• Providing false information, such as misrepresenting your age or identity.

• Using the app for unauthorized purposes, such as advertising, spamming, or any activity outside the intended scope of the platform.

• Engaging in prohibited behavior, including but not limited to harassment, abuse, threats, doxing, hate speech, or any form of misconduct that compromises user safety.

Our enforcement decisions are final and are made to ensure the integrity and security of the Mida community.

6. Content Usage & Permissions

• Mida does not use your profile photos or content for marketing or promotional purposes without your explicit consent.

• If we wish to feature your content publicly, we will seek prior approval via direct communication.
  

7. Legal Compliance & Data Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties except in the following circumstances:

• Legal Requirements: If mandated by law enforcement, court orders, or other governmental authorities.

• Policy Enforcement: To investigate and prevent fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities that may compromise the safety of Mida’s users.
  

8. Third-Party Services & International Data Transfers

Mida integrates with third-party services such as:

• Firebase (authentication, storage, and analytics)

• Google Analytics (app performance monitoring)

• AdMob (advertisements; data collection is limited to app functionality, not behavioral targeting)

These services may process and store data in locations outside your home country. By using Mida, you acknowledge and agree to such transfers in accordance with applicable laws.

Mida may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve user experience, analyze site traffic, and personalize content. Users can manage cookie preferences through their device settings.
